Is it legal for a DVD club to use your debit card to charge for a DVD when they were told they could?
This is Columbia House Club DVD player that did this. They sent me a card saying that my selection for and not respond within the time and usually send me the invoice and do not want the DVD sent back. This time he took it off my debit card and not even get the movie. I made the mistake of paying the previous bill by debit card I now have my number on file. I went to the store today thinking I had a lot of money on my card and to my surprise, I did not because the club DVD. Wonder if it is legal.
Contact them and tell U never said the selection sent and ask them credit the money back to his Acct. If you say sent out … ask them to give evidence. In any case, call Atty Gen's office in your city, explain the situation and ask them what to do to get a refund and cancel your Acct with them (if you want to cancel U).
