California’s Best Book Sales

Are you a California occupant looking for a book sale ? Each week libraries across the state host media sales that sell used media to raise funds for their library. The media  normally come from donations and items pulled out of circulation. These used media sales represent an excellent opportunities to find outstanding bargains. Prices typically range from $1-3 for most used books and other used media . The following is a overview of some of the bigger book fairs in California:

 

Planned Parenthood of Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties 36th Annual Book Sale

One of the largest used book sales in southern California with over 100,000 books, CD’s, and DVD’s.  This sale is held annually in the fall.

Friends of Benicia Library Book sale

This book sale is located in Benicia California. It boasts around 50,000 books, CD’s, and DVD’s at each sale. This book sale is held on the second Saturday of every month from 10 am – 4 pm.

Friends of Santa Rosa Libraries Book Faire

Located in Santa Rosa California, this sale has over fifty thousand books, CD’s, and DVD’s.  Their sale is held in April during national Library week.

Friends of the San Francisco Public Library Steps sale

Friends of the San Francisco Public Library hosts Steps sale located at the Larkin Street entrance of the Main Library on the first and third Wednesday of of each month (weather permitting). All books are $1 or less.
